The 1st Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, Assam, conducted a millet awareness programme and food exhibition under the Government of India's 'Shree Anna' campaign. The initiative aimed to increase awareness of the nutritional and health benefits of millets such as finger millet (ragi), sorghum (jowar), and pearl millet (bajra).

The exhibition featured a variety of millet-based traditional recipes, including laddoos, halwa, cheela, kheer, papad, peetha, and churma, with demonstrations explaining their preparation. Organizers encouraged participants to incorporate millets into their daily diets as part of healthier and more sustainable food choices.

The programme received enthusiastic participation from SSB families and reinforced the importance of promoting nutritious, climate-resilient grains through community outreach.
