- 1 bay leaf
- 3 star anise
- 5 peppercorns
- 3 cloves
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder

- 3-4 tsp vegetable oil
- Salt to taste

Wash the foxtail millet thoroughly and soak it in water for 1 hour. Drain well before cooking. -
