The Arunachal Agriculture Marketing Board (AAMB) has partnered with NABCONS, the consultancy arm of NABARD, to strengthen the planning and implementation of agricultural development programmes in the state. The collaboration aims to improve the effectiveness of government schemes while creating better opportunities for farmers through scientific planning and institutional support.

Under the partnership, NABCONS will provide technical expertise for project planning, market development, value-chain strengthening, and capacity building. The initiative is expected to help improve farm productivity, enhance post-harvest management, and connect producers with better market opportunities.

The collaboration also seeks to encourage sustainable farming practices and strengthen rural livelihoods by supporting efficient implementation of agricultural programmes. Better planning and infrastructure can help farmers diversify production, improve product quality, and increase their income.

For millet growers, stronger institutional support and improved market systems can create new opportunities for cultivating and marketing climate-resilient crops. As Arunachal Pradesh continues to promote sustainable agriculture, initiatives such as this can contribute to expanding value-added agriculture and improving long-term food security.
