The Rotary Club of Dehradun, in partnership with Himalaya Wellness Company (HWC), has distributed 100 Millet Kits to tuberculosis (TB) patients as part of a community nutrition and welfare initiative. The distribution was held at NRI Hall, Turner Road, Dehradun, in the presence of TB Officer Mukesh Rawat and staff from Doon Medical College.
The initiative aims to support TB patients with nutritious millet-based foods that can contribute to a balanced diet during treatment. Along with the millet kits, soaps and carry bags were also distributed to promote hygiene and overall well-being.
During the event, Rotary members highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness and healthy practices, particularly during the rainy season when vulnerable individuals are at greater risk of infections. The programme reflects the joint commitment of the Rotary Club of Dehradun and Himalaya Wellness Company to improving public health, nutrition, and community welfare through meaningful outreach initiatives.
